Vice President of Marketing
Steve Keifer is the Vice President of Marketing for GXS. Steve has global responsibility for marketing the entire GXS product line, which ranges from Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supply chain applications to comprehensive B2B outsourcing solutions. In addition, Steve leads the strategy and marketing for GXS’ vertical industry programs in the consumer products, automotive, high tech and financial services sectors. He also oversees the marketing programs GXS conducts in Europe, Asia Pacific, North and South America including the corporate brand, lead generation, web and social media strategies.
Steve joined GXS in 2004 focusing first on GXS product and industry marketing initiatives. In the automotive sector, he has driven programs to target the fast growing Chinese market with B2B e-commerce solutions. In 2006, Steve led the expansion of GXS into the financial services segment, launching several new solutions for supply chain finance, cash management and electronic invoicing. Most recently, Steve has spearheaded multiple educational initiatives to build awareness of benefits of B2B e-commerce to ERP project success, customer satisfaction and international growth in the manufacturing sector.
Steve recently authored a book entitled Herding Geese – The Story of the Information Supply Chain. The book was based upon a series of articles published on his blog, EDInomics, in which he discusses news, trends and strategies for B2B in the physical and financial supply chains.
Prior to joining GXS, Steve was the AVP of Business Development and the Director of Product Management for a leading web-hosting firm, Digex. He started his career as a consultant in the Communications and High Tech division of Accenture. Steve has an engineering degree from the University of Virginia.
