GXS Signs 49 New B2B Outsourcing Customers in 2009

Sunbury, United Kingdom — February 16, 2010 GXS™, a leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions, today announced that it signed 49 new GXS Managed Services customers in 2009. This is a 63 percent increase over the number of new customers signed the previous year. Approximately 50 percent of the customer deals were signed by businesses based in North America, with 30 percent in Europe and 20 percent in Asia-Pacific. In addition, GXS Managed Services revenue increased 13 percent in 2009 versus 2008.

  • Revenue growth of 135 percent from 2005 to 2009;
  • A customer retention rate of 96 percent in 2009; and
  • 25 renewals/contract expansions in 2009.

New customers that selected GXS Managed Services in 2009 include Avid Technology, B2Boost, Dairy Crest, Jaguar Land Rover, LSG SkyChefs, Marks & Spencer, Snack Brands Australia and Wegmans. GXS Managed Services customers represent a variety of vertical industries including retail, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, high tech, automotive and logistics. The largest vertical markets represented among the new clients signed in 2009 were consumer goods, high tech and financial services. Companies are using GXS Managed Services to support a variety of innovative endeavors such as ERP integration, small supplier enablement via GXS Trading Grid® for Excel, bulk or flat-file exchange, financial document exchange and gaining greater overall visibility into global supply chains. In fact, 35 percent of new customers are integrating their B2B e-commerce environments and transactions directly with their SAP systems via GXS Managed Services.
