GXS™ International Marketing Director Elected to EDIFICE Board

Sunbury, United Kingdom —  June 19, 2009 —  GXS™, a leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions, today announced that Denise Oakley, the company’s International Marketing Director, has been elected Vice-Chair of the EDIFICE industry association. EDIFICE is the European user group for the Electronics Industry that supports the adoption and promotion of B2B standards within the industry. This election of Oakley marks the first time in the organisation’s 23 year history that a vendor member has been named to the EDIFICE board.

Members of EDIFICE include computing, electronics and telecommunications companies as well as the vendors that serve them. The association drives and enables global standardised B2B adoption in Europe through best practices, information sharing and influencing of standards development. The European electronics industry adopted UN/EDIFACT as the global standard for traditional EDI applications and RosettaNet for XML-based B2B transactions.
