Overview
GXS Commitment to Standards
GXS has a long history of driving electronic commerce standards to enable wide-scale adoption. Based on our experience serving large and small customers jointly and distinctly, GXS has been contributing to these international standards for decades. Listed here are some of our recent accomplishments.
RosettaNet
GXS has been an active member of RosettaNet since 1998. The company's Senior Vice President of Global Professional and Customer Services, Tasos Tsolakis, served on the RosettaNet Solution Provider Board from 2003 - 2005.
"GXS is playing an instrumental role in the development and proliferation of RosettaNet standards," said Herman Stiphout, president of RosettaNet. "By embracing and advancing RosettaNet standards, GXS is putting smaller suppliers on par with larger enterprises in the supply chain."
GDSN
GXS has been one of the most active participants in the GDSN Task Group since its first meeting. GXS Product Manager Chrystopher VanTine is a member of the GDSN Task Group Leadership Team and has actively participated in that leadership role since the Leadership Team was formed. Providing a global view with an emphasis on the small and medium business, VanTine has helped guide the process of standards definition.
GXS has been very active in the following GDSN sub-teams:
- Relationship Dependant Data/Price and Promotion
- Validation
- Technical and Architecture
- Multi Source
- Attribute Value Pairs
- Communications
- Extended Attributes
- Code List Enhancement (co-chaired by VanTine)
Through this participation, GXS has consistently worked to ensure that the standards that are developed meet the needs of a global community and aid in adoption by all interested parties.
