GXS Freeway Technical Hardware and Software Requirements

To run GXS Freeway Entry or GXS Freeway Professional, your PC system should have the following minimum specification:

Windows Operating System

The GXS Freeway EDI Solution is compatible with the following Microsoft (Windows) Operating Systems, but must be installed on a UK Version in order to operate correctly. All Regional (NOT Local) Settings must be set as "United Kingdom."

  • Windows 7 Professional (32 bit)
  • Windows 7 Professional (64 bit)**
  • Windows 7 Enterprise (32 bit)

  • Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
  • Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit)

**NOTE:
Some issues have been encountered on some instances of 64 bit Windows 7 Professional and GXS cannot guarantee compatibility with this specific version of the Operating System.**

Recommended Minimum PC Specification

  • Pentium III Processor – 500MHz
  • 128 Mb Memory (RAM)
  • 500Mb Free Disk Space
  • External 56K Modem US Robotics Model 5630 OR Internet connection*
  • CD-ROM
  • SVGA Resolution Display

**NOTE: Internet Connection is a requirement for users requiring AS2. It may also be possible to access other services such as VANs or FTP via your Internet connection rather than using a modem**

Printer Specification

  • HP LaserJet or Inkjet compatible HP LaserJet

GXS Freeway Entry and GXS Freeway Professional applications are designed to operate on networks as a single-user system run from an application resident Workstation. The data can be stored on a server to allow non-concurrent acces from multiple client PC’s.

GXS Freeway Enterprise is a server-based application developed using ASP technology, recommended hardware for GXS Freeway Enterprise will be provided on application to GXS’s technical consultant.
