GXS Desktop EDI is a PC-based software solution that translates documents to and from your customers´ EDI format via easy-to-use desktop forms. You can use Desktop EDI to send and receive electronic documents with customers including purchase orders, invoices, shipment notices and remittance advices.

- Supports Popular EDI Standards—GXS Desktop EDI supports all of the popular regional EDI standards including ANSI X12 EDI, Tradacoms, and EDIFACT or EANCOM.
- Purchase Order Receipt—You can automatically download purchase orders and purchase order changes such as the EDI ANSI X12 850 and 860 or EDIFACT ORDERS and ORDCHG documents. View these documents using the forms interface or export them to a flat file format for subsequent processing by your back-office systems.
- PO-to-Invoice Turnaround—Easily turnaround the purchase order into an invoice. All relevant values from the order will automatically populate the invoice form. Just complete the remaining fields on the form (e.g. invoice number). The invoice will be converted into the EDI ANSI X12 810 or EDIFACT INVOIC formats, ready to send.
- Other EDI Documents—Purchase orders and invoices are two of the most popular EDI transactions, however, Desktop EDI is not limited to just two transactions. Full generic standards sets, such as ANSI X12 4010 or D97A, enable you to send and receive any of the documents defined in that standard, including ANSI X12 EDI 820, 855, 860, 830, 832 and 856 or EDIFACT PAYMUL, ORDRSP, DELFOR, DELJIT, DESADV, PRICAT.
