28.11.2006 — Representatives of GXS, a leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions, will address more than 500 automotive industry executives at the Odette conference to be held from 28th – 29th November at the International Congress Centre (ICM) in Munich.  Mark Morley, director of automotive and industrial marketing for GXS, will detail the complexities of managing global automotive supply chains, with a focus on enabling B2B integration with Chinese automotive suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in Asia. • Address  the challenges facing customers working with long distance supply chains
• Review trends in new and emerging markets, such as Eastern Europe and China, and discuss the challenges with connecting to and managing trading partners in these regions
• Outline the capabilities and benefits of  China e-AutoHub, GXS’ new automotive trading hub in China and the first B2B e-commerce platform for the Chinese automotive industry endorsed by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China
• Discuss the three key enablers / IT strategies to enable long distance trading, outsourcing and implementing of collaborative trading platforms and increasing visibility of the global supply chain.
