Senior Vice President, Product Development and Chief Technology Officer

Miguel Garcia is Senior Vice President, Product Development and Chief Technology Officer for GXS and is responsible for technology strategy and all product and service engineering. Mr. Garcia is a seasoned product development leader with more than 25 years of professional experience. He has extensive international experience leading global software development teams with a proven track record of building products from concept to commercial delivery.

Mr. Garcia most recently held the position of SVP Product Development, Performance Optimization Applications with SAP/Business Objects in Paris, France. He was responsible for integrating a cohesive suite of performance optimization applications based on SAP’s many acquisitions in this space. Prior to SAP/Business Objects, he ran global product development organisations for several major organisations including S1 Corporation, Cando.com, CNN.com (AOL/Time Warner), and Openware Technologies, Inc.

Mr. Garcia received a Masters of Science in Computer Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, South America.
