President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive officer, Bob Segert brings more than 15 years of broad and diverse business leadership experience to GXS. Since joining the company in January of 2008, Mr. Segert has been active in repositioning the business to accelerate growth and drive operational improvements that have enabled GXS to extend its leadership position in the B2B integration services and solutions market. During this period, GXS has rapidly expanded its core Managed Services business, driven a successful acquisition strategy including the merger with Inovis in 2010, and improved its core service delivery processes.

Prior to joining GXS, Mr. Segert spent more than 10 years with EDS in various roles including Chief Marketing Officer, General Manager of US Financial Services, Vice President Global Financial Products, Managing Director Corporate Strategy and Planning, and Managing Director of Corporate Development. These years in the IT services industry allowed Mr. Segert to build extensive experience in corporate strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, sales, marketing, and business operations management including the direct profit and loss of $1B+ business units. Prior to EDS, Mr. Segert worked as a consultant for A.T. Kearney and as a packaging engineer for Frito-Lay.

Mr. Segert has served as a member of the GXS board of directors since joining the company in January 2008. Since January 2012 he has also served as a director of EPAM Systems, Inc., [NYSE: EPAM], a leading global IT services provider with delivery centers throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Segert received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. Bob lives with his wife and twin children in Bethesda, MD and, in his free time, enjoys playing golf and traveling around the world.
