Jeff Barton has an important role as Chief Architect for GXS Trading Grid, GXS’s on-demand B2B integration services platform. Based in the GXS Gaithersburg, Maryland headquarters office, Jeff oversees the architectural design and implementation of the platform and service capabilities that comprise GXS Trading Grid. Mr. Barton also provides input for strategic technology decisions as they relate to present and future GXS product and service development.

Jeff has been with GXS for 10 years and has held several leadership positions within the company with respect to software and service architecture and development. Jeff has not always been in business technology though. In a previous career path, Jeff was a molecular biologist at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he was involved in research associated with Down’s Syndrome and Alcoholic Liver Disease. Jeff reached the level of Assistant Professor of Medicine before leaving the scientific arena in favor of software design and development. Accordingly, Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Louisiana State University.

When Jeff is not driving innovation at GXS, he is busy raising three children—15 year old boy/girl twins and a 13-year-old son. A Louisiana native, Jeff is truly a “gumbo” of knowledge and expertise.

Justin Duewel-Zahniser is a Global Product Manager at GXS and leader of the Usability Team. Justin has responsibility for managing the product roadmap and commercialization processes for various Trading Grid Services. Most noteworthy is Justin’s leadership of Trading Grid Online portal, which allows end-users to access a variety of reporting, administrative and support functions related to their EDI services. Justin’s areas of expertise include web application design, software development lifecycles and user experience factors.

Prior to joining GXS, Justin was a Product Manager and Software Instructor for the Library Corporation, which provides automation technology to over 5000 libraries worldwide. Justin earned his degree from West Virginia University.

Justin resides in West Virginia with his wife and two children. In his free time, Justin enjoys reading, poetry, occasionally writing code and rarely finding the time to play Ultimate Frisbee.

Pradheep is a Director of Product Management at GXS, with responsibility for managing the GXS Active product family of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and supply chain visibility applications. Pradheep is the visionary for GXS’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) strategy, playing a key role in the sales, marketing and product development aspects of the program. Prior to GXS, Pradheep worked at Cordiem where he was responsible for their order management solutions wihtin the global aviation industry’s first on-demand supply chain management platform. Additionally, Pradheep worked for i2 Technologies, now part of JDA Software, where he was product manager for demand and replenishment planning for the retail industry and service parts planning for the manufacturing industry.

Pradheep has a keen interest in new trends that impact technology product management and marketing especially around social media and cloud computing. He is also an opinion leader on the dynamics of global trade and its implications on business, technology, ethe conomy, equity markets, politics, society and culture. He follows this space closely. Pradheep and his wife reside in Northern Virginia with their son. Pradheep enjoys music, traveling, photography and reading books on business, leadership and history.

Chris is the Manager of Client Engagement within GXS’s Service Delivery organisation. He works closely with customers to match their specific needs with GXS security, disaster recovery and technical architecture capabilities. He plays a critical role connecting the operations group with sales, product engineering and professional services functions to ensure that customer configurations are optimized for performance, reliability and supportability.

Prior to his current role Chris was the Manager of IT Development for GXS, responsible for leading major technology initiatives from the requirements gathering phase through design, development, testing and ongoing production support. Earlier in his career Chris was part of the Information Management Leadership Program with GE. He is also a Six Sigma Blackbelt. Chris has a Bachelors in Computer Science from Michigan State University and an MBA in Management from Johns Hopkins University.

Outside of work Chris enjoys playing sports such as basketball, hockey and football. He also enjoys traveling internationally especially in Asia. Chris lives in Maryland with his wife and two young daughters.
